Musical & Theatre Director
My initial encounter with The Bee
by Hideki Noda instilled a sincere
aspiration in me to become a theatre
director, appreciating the nuanced on-stage communication achieved through diverse theatrical expressions. This experience led me to the realisation that the role of a theatre director involves conveying messages to the audience in a metaphorical and demonstrative manner, akin to a revolutionary artist. Subsequently, I have incorporated similar values, shaping my own ideal image of a theatre director through diverse experiences. I firmly believe in achieving this vision through continuous personal development, extensive research, abundant experimentation, and an unwavering desire. My journey in various careers and productions has afforded me numerous enlightening moments that have significantly contributed to the evolution of this thought process.

Producer
Having delved into diverse performance genres, I endeavoured to expand my horizons by transitioning from a director to a producer. Fuelled by my passion for producing performances tailored to youth audiences, I delved into the study of puppetry and oral storytelling. This journey culminated in the production of the Kimchi Festival in Seoul, featuring an array of immersive theatre programs designed for children. As a producer, my philosophy is rooted in creating inclusive performances for everyone, eliminating barriers that might impede anyone from enjoying the enchanting world of the arts. I firmly believe that the most magical and captivating artistic experiences should be accessible to all, irrespective of gender, age, race, nationality, sexuality, religion, disability, or language.

Educator
My passion for theatre education was
ignited during my service in the Republic
of Korea Air Force (ROKAF), where I
specialized in theatre. Throughout my
military tenure, I had the privilege of
instructing cadets at the Air Force Academy, exposing them to the world of theatre and musical performances while also coordinating productions. In adapting theatre programs for individuals unfamiliar with the medium, I discovered the profound impact that showcasing the value of stage performance can have on their perspectives towards art and life. Recognizing that all facets of performance involve collaboration and communication, I came to understand that fostering teamwork through theatre not only enhances social skills but also nurtures a sense of humanity. Guided by these educational principles, I obtained official Certification in Arts & Culture Education in Theatre, leading me to impart knowledge to students in public high schools in Korea.
